Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does an athlete have to be registered with a gym that is a part of the association?
A: Yes because the CSNA is a team based competition league within the central United States. Being registered with a gym with a competition team within the league allows us to keep our competitions more local.
Q: Can my athlete compete if their coach is absent?
A: Yes, but their placement will not count towards their gym's score. Athletes are allowed to accumulate individual points towards the finale competition without a coach, but a coach must be present for their run to count towards the team score.
Q: How can an athlete qualify for the finale competition?
A: An athlete qualifies for the finale once they accumulate a season score of 3 points or more or attending at least 6 CSNA competitions. An athlete is awarded points based on their top 5 placement in each CSNA competition. The point totals are as follows: 5 points for 1st place, 4 points for 2nd place, 3 points for 3rd place, 2 points for 4th places, and 1 point for 5th place. Athletes who do not finish top 5 receive 0 points.
